Property Repositioning
The revitalization of Cortesian represents how a collaborative effort between architects, designers and artists can seamlessly transform a development, inside and out. The team reestablished the property’s position in the market and differentiated it from a neighboring asset by accentuating its mid-century modern roots in an authentic Southwestern way.
Fresh paint and reinvigorated green space help establish a distinct exterior aesthetic and elevate curb appeal. Modern touches were then added with metal details throughout the property.
The team strategically replaced the existing leasing office with a new two-story structure—a modern building with eye-catching simplicity that humbly integrates with the existing structures. The interior takes cues from the exterior, playing with textured concrete, exposed block and a palette of muted desert hues. The ceiling geometry and cutting-edge lighting add character to the space and is accentuated with zigzag line details, geometric carpet patterns and floor-to-ceiling glass. Modern fixtures and furnishings reinforce the mid-century modern feel, while featured artwork by renowned artist Andy Brown adds a signature touch. The new second floor fitness area continues the modern aesthetic and offers impressive views of the surrounding landscape.
